Yello jellow can be spelled many ways. It is good for quitting smoking and falling in love. But some people don't like it, think it tastes like plastic, or object to it being made from animal hoofs. Sam, on smoke-free, had some bad luck with Lorraine's lemon jello recipe and that is when our hilarity on the list began. Some people get giddy when they quit smoking. Starster even sent a package to Steven in England, so he could participate! When he got the package he informed everybody that this is what they call "jelly." So what is jam? and marmelade? or preserves? It can become a relatively complex topic.
When Randy made some jello during his first week of withdrawal,
he noticed that
it wiggles.
Nobody told us that when we stopped smoking, we'd start having fun!
"Fun" is a feeling that nicotene suppressed.
Father Don, (smoke-free since 1991) used to like to say:
A T S A W A Y D A W I G G L E !!!!!!!! BOOMBA BOOM.....
Actually, the topic is sex and when some people complained about all the silly talk about food, Randy admitted that:
"hmph. _I_ never think about sex. I'm NOT obsessed with sex, sex, sex, sex, sex, sex, sex, sex, sex, sex, sex, sex, sex, sex, sex or even sex." |
Food is a much safer topic than sex. Nobody ever
gets offended at lemon jello... as long as you choose a
vegetable based gelatin! Lemons are very cleansing. It really is
good to eat jello when you're having cravings because you won't gain
any weight from it. There must be millions of jello recipies out there.
Other suggested foods for cravings include:

And of course...kiss a non-smoker and taste the difference
One night we went to the PNE carnival in Vancouver and rode on a roller coaster. We nearly came unglued but there was some other scarey ride that was so bad my teeth chattered for half an hour after we got off and I almost peed in my pants. Randy bought me a little tiara thingy with gold stars.
Randy and I got engaged online, on
Jello 17, 1995.
We highly recommend it!
Jello, that is.
Our romance is born of two equally strong realities: the process of quitting smoking that can transform a life, and the internet which will probably become a more and more common way for people to meet romanticaly, as well as for friendships to form and business partnerships to flourish.
Behind all the recent sensationalism in the press, the internet is a profoundly social place. It is not an information highway. It is a new way for people to communicate, a new social setting, and a new space for support and sharing.
