Sarah's Visit to New York

Sarah came to visit New York with her dance class. We went to meet her at the Statue of Liberty. It was a cold windy morning and we didn't find each other right away. We were standing, watching every group that came off the ferry for hours. Finally, just as we were going to give up, Sarah spotted us from behind. She was standing in line to leave! Somehow we'd missed them coming onto the island. Well, at least we found each other after all that time! She was very cute, cooing "Uncle Randy..." and so pleased to see us. We rode the ferry with them to Ellis Island which has been renovated into a museum about the history of immigration to the US. We bought statue of liberty crowns. Then we rode back to the city on the ferry to Manhatten. We rode with them through the subways to Astor Place where there's a big black cube piece of sculpture. We live very near there so we parted ways.
